Following the asymmetrical, lush look of the Green Bouquet design, in his next class Christian completely changed the aesthetic for a more sleek and graphic style. In this class he used dark burgundy dahlias, carnations, scabiosa, alliums, calla lilies, elm leaves for foliage, and artichokes for texture.

Last month we were honored to have one of the most acclaimed designers in the world, Christian Tortu, come to New York to give four remarkable classes at FlowerSchool New York. His classes were filled to the brim with flower enthusiasts, professional designers, and our own FSNY master designers who came to learn from Christian's unique artfulness with flowers.
