Our Spring 2012 Class Schedule is broken down into categories at different experience levels. You can browse for classes online by selecting a catalog of classes below. Series classes are designed to be taken all within a short period of time and must be purchased as a package. Call us to schedule your classes.

Introductory Series Overview
This series of classes is intended for students who would like to learn more about the purchasing, conditioning and care of flowers as well as different styles of arranging. This series is designed to be taken as a series of four. The fee includes a plentiful amount of flowers and all the equipment needed to design.
Sign Up & Pay Online
The Introductory Series may be taken as a three-class series or a four class series. Select a series below to make your online payment. Classes in this series may be taken individually, when space is available, for $300.00 per class. If you would like to sign up for an individual class, call us at 212.661.8074.

Class 1: Introduction to Design (IC3011)
1. The Criss-Cross Technique with hard-stemmed roses.
2. Choosing roses, looking for freshness, determining colors.
3. Learning how to use a florist's knife properly.
4. Cleaning and conditioning roses to help them open and begin to drink water.
5. Making a graphic bouquet where the stems are an important part of the design.

Class 2: The Graphic Design with Soft Stemmed Flowers (IC3012)
1. Make a graphic design using tulips or other soft-stemmed flowers
2. How to manipulate stems
3. Using the correct vase
4. Abundance is important. How do you know how many flowers to use?

Class 3: Composition Bouquet (IC3013)
1. Learning to use Oasis properly for a garden party look.
2. Which flowers do you use first in a composition bouquet.
3. Choosing the type of flowers to fit the occasion and the season.
4. The use of different types of vases for compositions. -
Class 4: Dutch Bouquet (IC-44)
This class is fresh and modern take on a traditional look.
1. Learn which flowers to pick.
2. How to condition those flowers for longevity.
3. Which flowers to use first.
4. How to ensure the stems look organized and fluid.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refunds are credited back to the card the same day they are charged. However, students who cancel seven days prior to their scheduled class will receive a full credit toward another class at FlowerSchool New York. Students who cancel anywhere between seven and two days before the class will receive 70% credit toward another class. Students who cancel within 48 hours of their scheduled class will receive a 50% credit toward another class.
