Master Classes Overview

Our signature master classes are a one time, two-hour, class taught by a master florist. They are open to all levels of skill, from those who have never taken a floral design class to working florists, who are looking to be inspired by these passionate professionals. Classes are hands-on and include flowers that students take home after class. $285.00 per class.

  • The Green Bouquet with Christian Tortu (CT-GB)

Christian Tortu is one of the most well-known and most revered floral artists in the world, and is responsible for inspiring more florists than any other florist. Jeff Leathem who does the crowd-pleasing flowers at the Georges V in Paris has said of him "I was lucky enough to work with him for a few months. He has influenced a whole generation of floral designers."

Referring to his book, "Sensational Bouquets," Christian will create two bouquet arrangements. The 10:30am class on Thursday, June 21st & Friday, 22nd will be an all-green bouquet. In his book Christian references the all-over green bouquet as a truest homage to nature.

  • Designing with Lettuce, Herbs and other Edibles with Matthew Robbins (MR-111)

One of the best trends to come along in quite a while is the green trend in which flower arrangements are recycled after an event. Matthew Robbins did the centerpieces for a wedding of a couple who were both animal lovers and researchers. Their wish was an arrangement that could be fed to zoo animals after the event. The result was green, lush and a magnificent display of creativity.

This time we are taking things one step further and arranging with lettuces, herbs and other edibles so that students will be able to take the entire arrangement home to enjoy themselves.
