Our Master Floral Designers

FlowerSchool New York's Master Floral Designers have been selected because of their achievement in floral design. Each Master designer has a unique style that has made them famous. Our goal is to hold classes where florists of all levels, from beginner to advanced, will have the opportunity to share in that designer's vision and create a work of art along side each master designer.

Matthew Robbins

Matthew Robbins is the Creative Director and senior partner of Matthew Robbins Design.

Matthew's background in fine art brings a trained, experienced eye to his work. During his days as an art student in San Francisco, he worked with several of the Bay Areas most talented floral and event designers. Maria Vella, his floral mentor, instilled a passionate appreciation for the lush, abundant beauty of California's gardens and natural elements. That was the start of what is now 15 years of working in the floral and event industry.

His work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings (where he is a contributing editor), Martha Stewart Living, Cosmopolitan, The Knot, Time Out NY, Bridal Guide, Modern Bride, New York Weddings, Elegant Bride, Instyle Weddings, Food & Wine, and Matthew currently blogs for The Huffington Post.

Matthew and his work have made appearances on Martha Stewart Living, The Knot TV, The View, The Today Show, Whose Wedding Is It Anyway and Inside Weddings.

In 2008 Matthew was named one of Modern Bride's "Trendsetters of the Year". His new book "Matthew Robbins' Inspired Weddings" will be available in January 2012.
