It was the night before Halloween and Lewis Miller treated us to some spectacularly spooky designs. If there is any florist who could pull off a class entitled “Dangerous Designs” it would most definitely be Lewis Miller who put his moodiest most beautiful aesthetic to the test. With deep purple Calla Lilies, the blackest Dahlias, late autumn Sunflowers, Millet, grasses, Eucalyptus, Smokebush, dark colored Peppers, Cotton, and dangerously prickly wild Smilax, he created an arrangement that looked as if it were a 16th Century Dutch still life with insects creeping out of the frame. Sometimes true beauty is neither easy nor pretty which Lewis has proven to us over the years as he has dazzled us with his genius.
