On April 9th, Matthew Robbins repeated a class he had given several years before at FlowerSchool New York. It was so successful we brought it back! The class focused on small flowers including Grape Hyacinth, Sweet Pea, Ranunculus, Seedum, Hellebore, Lavender and Mint.
We all made small arrangements with a frog in a delicate bowl as well as hand-tied mini bouquets out of the same small flowers. It was a testament to the “small is beautiful movement” and the class made us focus on the jewel-like qualities of flowers that are usually only available in the first blush of spring. We often have at FlowerSchool New York large, imposing groupings of flowers to work with and this class was a delightful antidote to the ‘more is more’ world that we encounter in our daily lives.
Thank you Matthew for your refined palette and your attention to exquisite detail.
