Arrival Day in the Netherlands

Day 1 - April 14th

Monday is an exciting and full day! In the morning we will start off by exploring some of the largest flower vendors in the world to observe how their operations work at Fleurametz, Hillver de Boer and Hoek, some of our favorite vendors to buy from! A business where over 350 million blooms leave their hands and are exported to more than 60 countries every year.

Hoek is also kind enough to explain how their operations as an auction work over lunch for us.

Should they be blooming on time, we will also visit a Sweet Pea farm, so fingers crossed!

Flora Holland and the largest flower shop in the world.

Tuesday will be a tour of The Historic Farm at Aalsmeer that includes visiting a horticultural museum, the famous auction clock, greenhouses, and their historical botanical gardens filled with the most lilac!
