Introduction to Freelancing For Professionals

This project management program is for hospitality professionals who would like to try their hand at working with florals as a supporting part of a floral team.

You will learn to:

• Schlep (transport) floral materials safely

• Pack arrangements for travel

• Manage the set-up / breakdown of events

• Manage votives efficiently

• Clean/polish glass

• Be a general support person.

• Sweep/keep clean designated work areas.

While you will not necessarily be working directly with flowers, this class offers a unique and immersive experience that simulates the world of freelancing in a creative and engaging manner.

This program, plus any of our Introduction to Design recreation classes will certify you as a Level 1 Floral Helper and will unlock several part time or as needed freelance jobs here in NYC.
