2-Day Large-Scale Installations Series
The Large-Scale Installation Series is as close to a real life situation as it gets. Expect to hike ladders, work with eco-friendly rigging and make beautiful constructions under the direction of a Floral Design Master. Over four class sessions, students will gain experience designing popular floral installations including: a {1} monumental urn arrangements, {2} an elevated centerpiece design, specifically for events or weddings, {3} a chuppahs or flowering arches, and {4} a hanging floral chandeliers.
This series will also give students insight into the business side of large-scale floral projects, by using real-world logistics, construction, pricing, installation practices and managing client expectations when it comes to over-the-top design.
FlowerSchool New York's Large-Scale Design Program is rooted in sustainable floral practices and is committed to teaching environmentally responsible design techniques for modern event and installation work. Rather than relying on single-use floral foam, students learn a range of professional mechanics that reduce waste, promote reusability, and support the growing demand for sustainable event production across the floral industry. Students will use eco-conscious alternatives such as chicken wire, agrawool, reusable vessels, and custom-built frameworks that provide support without compromising creativity or scale.
