Whether you're interested in pursuing floral design as a full-time career, finding part-time work, or simply learning for personal enrichment, our team is here to support your goals and help guide your journey in the industry.
Our professional training is organized into three levels, or badges, each representing a different stage of skill development and industry readiness. As you successfully complete each level, your student profile is updated to reflect your achievements and unlock access to job opportunities through our job board that correspond to your badge level.
As your skills grow, so do the opportunities available to you. Advancing through the badge system opens the door to a wider range of roles and experiences within the floral industry.
Floral Helpers
Floral Helpers are novice-level florists certified to assist florists in a shop assistant capacity. You’ll jump into the exciting, hands-on side of floral design — assisting with deliveries, installations, studio upkeep, cleaning, and all the behind-the-scenes magic that are essential to the floral design industry.
FlowerSchool Course Requirements:
Junior Florists
Junior Florists are hands-on team members with experience in floral conditioning, vase arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, and the basics of flower purchasing. Ready to learn, grow, and jump into new projects and events, Junior Florists are equipped with foundational floral design techniques to assist in the floral design industry.
FlowerSchool Course Requirements:
Floral Designers
As graduates of the state-licensed FlowerSchool New York Floral Design Program, Floral Designers are proven in their skillset. Designers have advanced skills in large-scale installations, flower wiring techniques, and the skills required to execute complex floral projects efficiently. They have proven their abilities through hands-on internships with esteemed NYC floral partners and are prepared for professional opportunities in the industry.
