This Weekend Florist Program is our signature skills programming offered over the weekend. This certificate bearing program is perfect for those who would like to learn professional floristry skills if they have weekday commitments and can't make our regularly scheduled program.
The 2-Day Wedding Design Skills focuses on foundational floral techniques used to produce a professional wedding; personal flowers, centerpieces and tablescape designs.
This course is perfect for beginners, floral enthusiasts, those already in the industry, or anyone interested in confidently creating floral pieces for friends, clients, or special events.
Over the course of two days students will be guided through floral design principles and mechanics to design {1} pieces using wiring techniques like boutonnieres and corsages as well as {2} a signature bridal bouquet. Students will also {3} create a centerpiece arrangement for a table and {4} work on tablescaping designs to discover their own signature style and understand how florals can complement a beautifully set table.
The class will cover flower conditioning, basic wiring technique, and the know-how to make balanced & elegant designs suitable for weddings and special occasions. This class offers a strong introduction to wedding floral work and provides foundational skills that can be built upon in more advanced floral design courses.
While not required, we encourage students to take our 2-Day Introduction to Design Series or have an understanding of foundational skills in order to comfortably explore more advanced techniques in this workshop.
