Tin Can Studios is a floral design studio based in Brooklyn, New York. We specialize in creating floral experiences for corporate events and weddings. We are most recognized for our lush, asymmetrical floral arrangements and installations and eye catching color compositions and ingredients. About Ingrid
Ingrid is considered one of the leading designers in the sustainable floral design movement. A graphic designer turned passionate florist, she was named "Best Florist" in New York Magazine within the same year as founding Tin Can Studios. When designing for events and weddings Ingrid brings her creative talent and charm to the entire process, putting together stunning color palettes and eye-catching materials, to tell various carefully composed stories with her arrangements and installs.
She is the author of three floral design books Flowers by Design, Handpicked (Abrams) and bestseller Brooklyn Flowers (Massolit). In addition, she has been featured in "New York in Bloom" (Abrams), "Flowers, Art & Design" (Assouline), and "Blooms: Contemporary Floral Design (Phaidon)" a book that features several of the best floral designers in the world.
Ingrid attracts students from all over the world to workshops and master classes in sustainable floral design, as she has a true passion for sharing and teaching others in the industry. She also travels frequently to teach in places such as Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Stockholm.
Master Classes at FlowerSchool New York are immersive studio experiences designed for students at all levels — from beginners eager to deepen their skills to established florists looking to learn directly from a leading floral design expert.
Each Master Class offers a rare opportunity to step inside the creative process of a celebrated designer. Students will create a refined, seasonal arrangement guided by the instructor’s signature style, with a focus on spring’s most beautiful blooms, thoughtful mechanics, and intentional design choices.
These classes are about more than technique — they’re about perspective, process, and inspiration. Whether you’re new to florals or years into your practice, you’ll leave with fresh insight, practical takeaways, and a beautiful design to take home.
Students will:

🪻 work with premium, seasonal spring blooms selected by the instructor
💐 create a thoughtfully scaled arrangement inspired by the designer’s aesthetic
