Our 2026 Spring Awakening: Master Class Series welcomes the season of renewal with a collection of Master Classes led by floral design experts. From delicate spring palettes to expressive forms, each class offers a hands-on opportunity to create, learn, and be inspired.

The Flowerslinger is an award-winning fine art floral design studio based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, led by Brittany and Doug Murray. After years in New York City’s fashion, advertising, and creative industries, they relocated from Brooklyn to NWA, bringing a fresh and refined perspective to floral artistry. Together, they create immersive, one-of-a-kind floral experiences that blur the line between floristry, art, and storytelling.

About Brittany

Brittany’s journey began in NYC’s fast-paced fashion world, where she worked as a stylist for Seventeen Magazine, NYFW runway presentations, and high-profile commercial productions. She later transitioned into brand strategy and marketing, curating visual identities and digital content for ad agencies and a popular Brooklyn brewery. But it was floristry that became her ultimate creative medium.

After launching The Flowerslinger in 2019, Brittany quickly established herself as a force in luxury floral design, securing Christian Louboutin as her very first client, providing weekly floral arrangements for all of their Manhattan boutiques. She continued freelancing with some of NYC’s top floral studios while growing her own brand, developing a fine art approach to floral design—one that embraces movement, emotion, and a departure from tradition. Brittany was named one of Florists’ Review’s 35 under 35 Rising Stars in the Flower Industry, and The Flowerslinger was recently recognized as one of the Top 55 Event Florists in America. Her work has been seen in Vogue, The Wed, GQ, and other prestigious publications.

About Doug

Doug studied art direction at an advertising school in Brooklyn before working on campaigns for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including 7-Eleven, HBO, and New Orleans Tourism. As a Creative Director at 360i, his work earned international recognition, including a Cannes Grand Prix. Over his career, he has won dozens of awards and has taken home wins at every major industry show, including Cannes Lions, Clio, D&AD, The One Show, and the London International Awards. His work has been widely recognized for innovation, storytelling, and experiential marketing, with features across major publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Adweek, and many more.

Beyond recognition, Doug has spent years immersed in the creative process, shaping ideas from concept to execution. He has worked on everything from TV commercials, photo shoots, CG content, print ads, experiential activations, to social campaigns—working closely with directors, photographers, editors, sound designers, and colorists to craft compelling visuals and narratives. His experience isn’t just about making things look good; it’s about building worlds, shaping emotions, and crafting stories that connect.

At The Flowerslinger, Doug applies his background in branding, art direction, and production to transform floral design into an immersive creative experience. His expertise in photography and videography ensures that floral compositions are not only experienced in the moment but also captured in ways that enhance their artistry and emotion.
