Join us for a special coffee talk celebrating the launch of Naturalistic Flowers, A Year of Plants, Places and People by AESME STUDIO. Please note, this is not a class. It is an intimate discussion hosted at FlowerSchool New York with coffee, tea and light bites.
Explore the beauty and philosophy of naturalistic floral design with Ally and Jess of AESME Studio as they share insights from their new book, Naturalistic Flowers. Guests will enjoy an intimate conversation with the authors, with opportunities to purchase signed copies and connect with fellow floral enthusiasts.
Sisters Ally and Jess Lister of leading London floral studio AESME have created a distinctive organic and sometimes experimental style that connects floral design back to nature. Naturalistic Flowers, their debut book, takes readers on a journey through a single year to thirteen unique locations in the UK, Europe, and beyond. In each of these, the sisters gather local flowers and create beautiful seasonal designs with a sense of place.
Naturalistic floral design uses local, wild, and seasonal flowers to create beautiful, sustainable arrangements that are in harmony with their surroundings, whether an English country houses or a Provençal Garden. Each chapter in the book tells the story of Ally and Jess’s discoveries along their travels and explores a location through its regional flowers and scenery, offering plenty of ideas for styling flowers along with arrangement “recipes” that lay out each AESME design stem-by-stem.
For anyone interested in the world of floral design or just looking for ideas to style flowers more sustainably at home, Naturalistic Flowers will be an invaluable source of inspiration for decorating with seasonal flowers.
