Market to Table: Union Square Greenmarket Tour & Tablescaping Workshop

This workshop begins at the world famous Union Square Greenmarket. Together, we'll explore the market, selecting seasonal goodies for our tables such as flowers, foliage, fruits, breads and vegetables from local vendors.

After gathering our materials, we'll return to FlowerSchool NY where you'll learn how to transform these fresh market finds into a lush floral arrangement and thoughtfully styled table design. Along the way, we'll discuss color, texture, proportion, and the art of incorporating produce into floral design for a look that feels refined, natural, and effortlessly elegant.

We will indulge in some of our market finds and light bites after the table is set and photographed.

Whether you're hosting summer dinners, looking for creative inspiration, or simply love flowers and farmers markets, this workshop offers a fresh perspective on seasonal design.

• Selecting seasonal flowers, foliage, and produce

• Techniques for designing with flowers and edible elements

• Creating a cohesive, seasonal and market-inspired centerpiece

• Styling a complete tablescape for entertaining

Saturday, August 1

• 9:00 AM: Meet at Union Square Greenmarket

• 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Guided market tour and shopping experience

• 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Walk back to FlowerSchool NY & time to grab coffee/snack

• 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Floral design production 

• 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Tablescape styling

• 1:30 PM - 2:00PM: Light bites from the market, photography, and discussion

• Approximate end: 2:00 PM
