Seeds of Discovery:
A Brain Health Benefit
November 13th, 2025 | FlowerSchool NY
Join us for an exclusive evening where science meets celebration—where beautiful flowers, exquisite food, brilliant minds, and fine champagne come together for an extraordinary cause.
The neuropathology research program at Mount Sinai, directed by John Crary, MD-PhD, stands at the forefront of brain health research, pioneering breakthrough discoveries in understanding diseases of the brain. The laboratory is developing revolutionary AI-powered diagnostics and training the next generation of researchers.
But critical research funding is at risk. Without immediate support, promising studies that could change millions of lives may never reach completion.
Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, and other conditions don't discriminate; they touch every family, every community, and every industry. The human brain—our most precious and complex organ—faces unprecedented challenges as our population ages.
We invite you to be part of the solution.

Who We Are

About the Crary Laboratory and Neuropathology Brain Bank & Research CoRE
We believe every brain that arrives at our neuropathology laboratory tells a story—carrying within it the molecular events that led to disease and the potential keys to prevention. We believe the answers to brain diseases live in human tissue, not just animal models or cell cultures that reflect shadows of the true disease process. Our research encompasses diverse types of brain diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy—using an interdisciplinary approach that combines traditional neuropathology with cutting-edge genetics, transcriptomics, and revolutionary artificial intelligence tools. We deploy these methods not just to catalog what went wrong, but to pinpoint the earliest triggers when prevention might still be possible, because we believe it's never too late for neuropathology when paired with modern technologies. Most importantly, we measure our success not only by what we discover, but by how generously we share tissues, data, and knowledge with the global research community, training the next generation of neuropathologists who will multiply our impact far beyond what any single laboratory could achieve. Behind every breakthrough is a patient who chose to contribute their final gift to science and a family who trusted us to honor their loved one's legacy by turning tragedy into hope for countless others.
